Maybe one day we'll be able to get lots of *nix software running under Windows using Gentoo's Portage. Read this.

Yes, indeed. On the first of april, Gentoo anounced at their site they'ld port portage to the NT-platform. The second of april, they confirmed it was an april fool's joke.

The people of OSnews don't include their source, you don't know where they did get it from. I'm quite sure it's a hoax. You also can't find anything on the gentoo website. As you can see the comments in the osnews-article, they also don't believe it.

OK, at http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-319691.html there's a topic about one guy working on it. It's not an official decision of the gentoo devs, but just one guy. Let's hope he's some succes!
