Here, on Monologue again.

We @VTK also need to start using Subversion, lost some code yesterday thanks to the stupid "write-code-on-testing-server-then-move-to-live-server-using-some-cgi" method we're forced to use. Unfortunately AFAIK I'm the only one in there who ever worked with Subversion, knows how to set up a repository (on Apache), how to add files, commit stuff, get diffs,... Humm, that gnome startup notification looks also anoying to me. The KDE way is nice: a little icon of the application bouncing near the cursor, so you can continue other work without such a "block" in your way.

When interested in bleeding edge packages: Use Ubuntu, generally, when an upstream dev release happens, I can apt-get it within 3 days (and it works guaranteed, which can't be said about eg. BreakMyGentoo)
